Who i Am?

my story

From high school straight to the street, hustled for a job which I didn’t get. 

So, I went back to university, later juggled in-between different jobs before setting foot into new territory and consequently mastering the trenches of the Hot Arab Desert in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

 

 

I didn’t know anyone in there, wasn’t sure of a place to stay or even a job lined up
for me
but i just went in, which is kind of my style.  
I had no clue what I was getting myself into.

 

 

Years later, if you asked me, I would easily say it was neither the worst nor the best life experience but it was a decision I had to make at the time. 

Usually everyone has a loooong story to tell … and so DO I.

 

But … Long story short

I am Ugandan, Information Technology person by training with an eye for Digital Marketing and keen on websites, content & SEO.

I interested myself in digital marketing as a new career around 2020 and straight away started the learning process.

One year in, I was so eager to put all the theory into action.

 

So … I got infront of the camera, started shooting videos, started writing blogs & creating content for my website and social media pages.

 

Since then … I have been in the industry constantly researching, reading & learning, building & breaking websites, testing & optimizing marketing campaigns in a feisty bid to attain better results.

As a ‘Side-Hustle’, I began taking on voluntary projects for friends & family, then leisurely started assisting entrepreneurs and business owners like
you to:

·      Build their business websites.

·      Start their online journeys.

·      Improve their online visibility.

·      Maximize sales.

… and grow their businesses. 

Through driving traffic to their websites, generating new business leads that eventually converted into hungry buyers &
repeat customers.

Business and the Internet

YES Before the internet became ‘a big thing’ in business and most recently before the purportedly COVID-19 pandemic hit the world so hard, most business transactions occurred after a client met with the service provider, it had to be a one-on-one meeting.

But … Of course that’s not the case anymore….. NEW NORMAL, much of today’s business can be transacted online from inception to completion without necessarily having to meet one-on-one with the client or service provider.

And hey … get ready for the Internet of Things (IoT) because digital is where the world is heading

Source of Inspiration

It was from the 2020 Covid-19 background and STAY AT HOME policy of:

·      Shops & Offices closed

·      Intense country lockdowns

·      Travel bans

·      Social distancing

·      Sanitizers, masks, no more handshakes… but Fist bumps” 

…and a fully-fledged online shopping spree.

 

Even for the basic medicinal groceries like the famous garlic, lemon, ginger and red chili concoctions … that got me thinking.

And well … It was then, that this whole online marketing thing actually started to make proper sense to me.

Remember Most businesses had come to a sudden close with little or no preparation whatsoever, yet there had to be some kind of business continuity because people had to survive. 

So, many businesses went online and so, did I.

With my graphics designer at Nkurumah road in Kampala (Uganda), video guy trapped in Mindanao (Philippines), social media chap held up in Utapradesh (India) and me stuck in Abu Dhabi (U.A.E)creating content, building websites and optimizing them for search engine visibility, plus coordinating all errands virtually online to make sure we deliver.

This whole idea of having clients from any part of the world and the freedom to work remotely from home or elsewhere to provide DIGITAL MARKETING SERVICES became very clear,
very visible, very possible and very timely from our stand point.

 

That is what inspired me to set up kamirageoffrey.com with all activities manned online.
